A FESTIVE WEEKEND WITH THE JURADE

The Jurade de Saint-Emilion Harvest Proclamation
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Jurisdiction of Saint-Emilion, the Jurade is changing its habits and moving the Harvest Proclamation (Ban des Vendanges) from the 3rd Sunday in September to the weekend of September 21st and 22nd, 2024!

Torchlight parade

As usual, on Saturday evening, the Jurats will march in their traditional garb, torch in hand, for a not-to-be-missed parade! They’ll cross the medieval town at 10:15pm and finish at the Tour du Roy, from where a fireworks show will be launched!

Inductions and Proclamation

On Sunday, the Saint-Emilion wines’ Brotherwood invites you to celebrate the Harvest Proclamation. This traditional festival celebrates the ripening of the grapes, which are ready to be harvested to produce vintages recognized and appreciated all over the world!

Around 11:30am, the future ambassadors of Saint-Emilion wines will be inducted into the open air in the moat of the Palais Cardinal. At this point, it will be possible to meet a number of national and international personalities, including Tony Parker, Thomas Pesquet and Denis Brogniart, who have taken part in previous editions of the event.

Finally, from 5pm onwards, the Jurats will be back to parade one last time to the Tour du Roy for the Harvest Proclamation speech.
